“As a single father myself, I wanted to help others with similar experiences as mine – especially because single fatherhood is seldom talked about.

Knowing that SPIN supported single fathers as well, I decided that this would be a good opportunity to give back to the community through something I resonated with myself. I really connected with their mission to help single parent families by strengthening their social support network, as it was something I could identify with.

I found it heart-warming to witness how passionate the people at SPIN were in helping others. And I strongly believe that it is through giving that you are able to receive more than you already have. This is something I will tell others who are keen but uncertain to volunteer.”
